This year’s Riesling shows our classic lime and citrus characters along with the slatey acid and minerality that comes from the shale rock bed on which our vines grow. With a couple of year’s ageing it will develop into a satisfyingly complex wine.
|Notes From The Winemaker:||The fruit was harvested on 6th March 2016 at 11.5 Baume. An early budburst and early strong growth was followed by warm temperatures through late Spring and early Summer resulting in an excellent flowering and fruit set. A drier than usual Spring/Summer led to perfect ripening conditions post veraison, therefore disease pressures were low and excellent clean fruit was harvested across all varieties. The winter rains from 2015 ensured a healthy crop load with intense varietal character but with moderate acidity|
