The wine is straw in colour with rich aromas of pear and stone fruit. Complex flavours of pear, white nectarine and citrus linger on the palate. The acidity is fresh with good textural richness on the palate.
The fruit for this wine was grown in the Southern Highlands, a cool climate region in New South Wales, at the relatively high altitude of 650 metres.
Notes From The Winemaker: | After a disastrous 2020 season due to bushfires then torrential rain, it lead into a well-soaked winter. The growing season started off cool which mean a bud burst that was a little latter than usual. Moderate temperatures gave the vines time to grow steadily to produce strong fruit characters while retaining natural acidity in the fruit. Careful management was needed as the autumn rains built, but the fruit stayed disease free. |
