Our Chardonnay has aromas of citrus and stonefruit with hints of spice from its time in French oak. The palate is a delicate balance of citrus flavour bolstered by subtle toastiness and crisp acidity.
|Notes From The Winemaker:||The environment in Tasmania is blessed with pristine water, clean air and rich, ancient soils. The climate is cool and dry which are ideal conditions for growing premium cool climate grapes. Our wines are produced with a focus on sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention in our winemaking. The 2018 vintage in Tasmania was a good season with excellent fruit grown across the state. The season was slightly warmer than average with average rainfall meant that most vineyards had the potential to ripen their fruit with very low pest and disease pressure. The resulting harvest was very high in quality with excellent flavour and acidity. This fruit was harvested in the coolness of the early morning before being pressed straight to French Oak barrels. The wine underwent natural fermentation with no MLF or batonnage. Maturation was for 10 months on lees before blending and bottling.|
