This wine is bright golden straw in colour. Fresh pineapple, ginger and marmalade aromas leap from the glass. These characters flow onto the palate with a rich and luscious mouthfeel. Balanced acidity finishes up this wine which gives it length and liveliness.
|Notes From The Winemaker:||A drier than normal winter in 2018 meant budburst happened 2 weeks earlier than usual. It was an extremely dry growing season which resulted in lower than usual yield. The resulting smaller bunch weights lead to increased concentration of flavour. The Hilltops region is blessed with mostly drier and warmer days with some cooling relief at night due to its continental position. Only during special vintages is the noble rot encouraged to form which dehydrates the fruit and concentrates the flavours while imparting its own unique characteristics. This fruit was harvested in the coolness of the early morning before undergoing a long cool ferment in stainless steel tanks. Some wine was matured in barrel to gain complexity before the wine was filtered and bottled.|
