The Bowral Brasserie

Located on Bowral’s classic corner, The Penders on Wingecarrivee and Station Streets is The Bowral Brasserie. The restaurant is dishing up delicious French-inspired and modern Australian dishes in its classy, yet cool surroundings. Whether it’s a romantic dinner or a quick lunch you are after this is a great place to stop at.

Grand Bistro

Grand Bistro is a modern Australian restaurant and caterer in Bowral. It’s a beautiful place to sit and enjoy its country white and green interiors and locally focused menus. The menu is always changing and there are always exciting dishes to try. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner you stop here for, you will not be disappointed.

Josh’s Café

If you are heading through the historical town of Berrima make sure you stop at Josh’s Café for lunch. It’s a bustling business with a growing reputation. The café offers a menu of delicious modern Mediterranean dishes and of course, Tertini wines.

McVitty Grove

Located on a vineyard with surrounding views of vines and olive trees, McVitty Grove is the place to go if you want a meal with a beautiful view. Start your visit with a tasting of Tertini Wines and then decide on a bottle to share over lunch. The menu offers lots of different meats and substantial sized meals. Its food and location make it the perfect spot for a relaxed weekend lunch.

Biota

Biota is heaven for foodies. Serving up the best seasonal produce, all locally sourced, most of it from their very own garden. It’s a challenging menu but an exquisite one that is constantly changing. They offer a 5 and 7 course tasting menu and a causal bar menu. Whatever you are in the mood for, whether it’s the full experience or a casual drink and nibble around the bar with friends, Biota is well worth a visit.

The Loch

The tasting room at The Loch Barn in Berrima is open to the public every Sunday. It’s indulgent menu features freshly harvested produce from their grounds (or locally sourced) and  itchanges fortnightly. During the warmer months guests can dine outside on the verandah and to keep warm in winter the dining room in the converted barn is used and warmed by slow-combustion fires. If you are after a paddock-to-plate experience this is the to go for a Sunday lunch.

Also, keep an eye out for their food events which are always a great success.

Bistro Officina

A relaxed European bistro that is full of character and a must visit on your list of places to eat at. Bistro Officina is a sophisticated restaurant/ bar combined with a laid back country vibe that the Southern Highlands is known for. There are a range of menus and food experiences available that feature local and seasonal produce. Alternatively, enjoy the warm, relaxed atmosphere in the bar area with a glass of wine and share plates by the fire.

Onesta Cucina

Family owned and operated Italian restaurant, Onesta Cucuina provides a delicious, yet traditional menu to the Southern Highlands. Located in the heart of Bowral, this place is the perfect dinner destination for a hearty Italian home-style meal with a great selection of wines.

Shaggy Cow

The Shaggy Cow is a modern country café located in the charming town of Mittagong. Known for its quality of food, you will not be disappointed with its exceptional dishes and great local wine menu. Whether it’s breakfast, brunch or lunch you’ll find the menu caters for all tastes and budgets.
